New Features From Apple iOS 18

Apple’s new iOS 18 update has been trending for good reason. For dedicated fans, these new updates are the first in years. The update covers just about every demographic offering health updates, artificial intelligence, and satellite messaging. Let’s get into some of the most exciting new updates.

Health

The new updates include medication tracking for users who want to set reminders without a third party app. There is also a journal app for those who are in the process of a spinal cord injury lawsuit or any similar case. They can simply log the events and include pictures of the accident and treatment plans.

Other features include sleep tracking to track the various stages of sleep. There’s also a data visualization feature added to the health app to help users see their health data. This data can give them a better understanding of their health and sleep routines.

In the new air pods pro2, Apple also added a hearing health test. With this feature, users can test their hearing and learn more about their hearing health.

Schedule messages

Don’t want to miss your friend’s birthday wishes? iOS 18 solves this. Simply schedule a message in advance, and they will receive it when due. To use this feature, you’ll need to access the menu in iMessage and click on send later.

Besides being able to schedule, you can add effects to texts. This can be text formatting or animated effects.

Siri

Now if you get tired of calling out to Siri, you can easily nod your head with your AirPods on. This allows you to answer calls or reject them if you prefer. Siri also got smarter with vocal shortcuts. You will not need to give Siri long instructions when you can easily add shortcuts with shorter instructions.

Notes

The update also worked on the notes app. Now you can solve math equations on the app by simply drawing them. Cool right? This app now offers audio recording support so you can save recordings and notes in one space. It also has collapsible sections to help users build a document directly in the app.

What about the graphs you can add to the app? Mind-blowing. Apple really outdid itself with this one.

Keyboard

Are you bilingual? Now Apple allows users to chat in more than one language. Finding stickers and emojis is now easier as Apple has added a dedicated button for both. You can also now search for your preferred sticker or emoji without scrolling endlessly.

Another notable feature is being able to control your friend's phone remotely. Now, you can help your mom fix her technical issues even if you’re thousands of miles away.

Home devices

Apple home has a new update for iOS 18. Now you can unlock doors without having to use your hands. It also allows users to have more than 20 guests connected to the home system.

A few of these updates may not work until next year. Developers are still perfecting Apple intelligence for the newer models. So, you may still wait for a bit to get the full experience.
